Lyndon was my oldest friend and with us in some capacity from day one. We lost Lyndon last year on Christmas Eve absolutely devastating. I think of him everyday and will miss him tremendously, but to be honest he did so much more for so many people. He regularly picked up and delivered food to people in need up to 5 days a week working tirelessly. As much as I will miss him I think of those people even more every day. If I am lucky one day I will help as many people as he did in his lifetime.
Easily one of the nicest people I have ever known I love and miss him!
I am a member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Boniface Church in Elmont, New York. Among other things that we daily to help neighbors in need within our parish community, at Thanksgiving time we provide meals for well over 100 families. Over the last many many years the Paxinos family/organization has helped us every Thanksgiving to provide those meals. I have witnessed first hand the genuine love and caring spirit that they have for people in need. They and many friends happily and with clearly kind hearts deliver over a hundred turkeys every year for us to include with the rest of a family Thanksgiving dinner. I am confident to say that with the generosity of the parishioners of St. Boniface Church and the incredible unsolicited generosity of the Paxinos family we have been able to feed much more than a thousand families during our collaboration with the Paxinos family (now project). It has truly been a relationship created through the Holy Spirit and we cherish the family, their friends and their organization , and the help that together we give to those in need .
The Paxinos family and their team have changed the face of Thanksgiving for the families of MS53 Brian Piccolo. Each year the Pax Projects team of volunteers arrive at MS53 with truckloads of food (turkeys and all of the ingredients to make the entire feast). The volunteers help to organize all of the food and then distribute the turkey and all the ingredients to make an entire Thanksgiving in such a beautiful manner. We are a very low-income school. Many of our families have no way of affording to make the feast. Our families talk about and look forward to what we call Thanksgiving-in-a-Bag all year long. The cherry on top is that Nick Paxinos is a former graduate of MS53. It is amazing for our families and students to be able to view Nick as a mentor and someone to look to emulate. We are so honored to have partnered with Nick and his team and due to the generosity of all the donors we can say you are making a difference in the lives of hundreds of students and their families at MS53.
